Thanks to its powerful logistics organization supported by three vessels, the only Turkish fleet of its kind, it provides high quality and economic LPG for an extensive ecosystem that includes its own end-use customers as well as other LPG distribution companies and foreign customers. Aygaz works with a wide range of suppliers from diverse origins to ensure that the LPG operations run seamlessly. With a strong infrastructure and high sales quantities, Aygaz is among a handful of companies with the capability to discharge high-tonnage vessels at one port with its own means.

SEA TERMINALS

Filling

In addition to its 5 sea terminals, 5 filling facilities and 8 distribution centers, Aygaz has 1 manufacturing facility all of which meet international standards and operate using the latest technology. Aygaz has the largest LPG storage capacity in Turkey with 170,000 cubic meters. The Aygaz facilities are equipped with excellent technological infrastructure and equipment, making it possible to pump LPG automatically into cylinders and then distribute it after the completion of safety tests.

Each Aygaz cylinder passes the following inspections “exact-fit seal replacement”, “overfill and gas leakage” and “underfill”, after which it is delivered to the customer sealed with the “Cylinder Information Card” and “Hologram Lid,” which ensure that the product is fully filled and has passed all quality tests. In addition to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environment and ISO 4500 Occupational Health and Safety, ISO 50001 Energy, ISO 10002 Customer Complaints Management Systems certificates, Aygaz products bear the CE and PI markings, denoting free circulation within the EU. Aygaz also possesses the TSE Customer Friendly Organization and Customer Friendly Brand certifications.

MANIFACTURING FACILITY

Marine Transport

Aygaz has conducted marine transport operations using its own ships since 1967 and has three LPG ships that are specially equipped and fully pressurized. The fleet consisting of the Kuleli, Kuzguncuk and Beylerbeyi vessels is operated by Anadoluhisarı Tankercilik A.Ş., a 100% subsidiary of Aygaz. In addition to providing import and export services, these ships carry a significant portion of the LPG transferred between the Aygaz sea terminals.

In addition to meeting approximately %52 of Turkey’s LPG requirements, Aygaz also manages the country’s largest LPG marine logistics operations.

Land Transportation

Aygaz uses tanker semi-trailers to transfer LPG to filling stations that are not directly served by a pipeline or marine transport. Tanker trucks that satisfy international standards distribute bulk gas to residential, commercial and industrial customers and autogas to gas stations. Aygaz also transports cylinder gas to filling station distribution centers and to its countrywide network of cylinder gas dealers.

Aygaz’s LPG road tanker fleet has the “Certificate of Conformity for Vehicles Transporting Dangerous Goods by Road” and is tracked online 24/7 using GPS.

Manufacturing

Aygaz manufactures cylinders, valves, small bulk gas tanks, pressure regulators and similar items at its facility located in the Gebze Organized Industrial Zone on a site that encompasses 52,000 m² of outdoor and 27,000 m² of indoor space. The facility utilizes the most advanced technologies and has ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001 Environment Management Systems, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Managements Systems, ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems and ISO 27001 Information Security Management System certifications.

SENDEO

Aygaz recognizes the opportunities in the parcel shipping and last-mile delivery sector, which is fast evolving in line with the rapidly growing e-commerce and the economy. In search of a business model where Aygaz could use its existing dealer network and home delivery experience, Aykargo presented a viable option and was launched in 2018 as a result of the intrapreneurship efforts that the company leverages to create added value for its shareholders and dealers by using its strong brand, dealer network and facility infrastructure assets as a platform. In 2021, the initiative was incorporated as Sendeo. The last-mile delivery sector, which continues to grow rapidly in line with e-commerce, is a business area where Aygaz aims to create added value through its existing assets. Currently operating in 81 cities in Turke, Sendeo aims to be one of the most important representatives of the sector and to make a difference with its innovative services.

Abroad Operations

In line with its international expansion strategy, Aygaz entered the Asian market, which has the largest share in global LPG consumption and the fastest growth trend, by signing a joint venture agreement with the Bangladesh-based United Enterprise & Co, one of the country's largest corporations, to supply, fill, and distribute LPG. The equal-management joint venture was incorporated as United Aygaz LPG Ltd. The objective of the new joint venture is to combines Aygaz's long years of industry expertise and United Enterprise's experience in the country to bring added value to the sector and encourage further investments between the two countries. United Aygaz LPG completed the first phase of the investments in the main terminal in Chittagong (Chattogram), which started in 2021, as laid out in the business plan. And the company started to sell LPG in 2022 while investments continue to increase capacity.
